For HOT MESS, Cúze will be exhibiting his series Ethno Futurism.
The idea is not confined to a specific ethnic tradition, but samples one or several deconstructed elements such as form, material, technique, function to reconstruct an iconic object. These objects attempt to create a universal microcosm in the space.
Cúze (b. 1981 Japan), is a ceramic artist and designer. He studied design and ceramics at Ishoken and Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Centre and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2012. Cúze was awared bronze at the A' Design Award 2022 (Arts, Crafts and Readymade Design category) and participated in a group show at @room capacity in Berlin in 2021, the Makers' Show Super Salone Milan 2021 and at 1000 VASES, Paris, 2020.
