For HOT MESS, Sebastian Körbs will be exhibiting the NABLA-DELTA series, which he has been working on for three years: 150 lacquer paintings on wooden panels and 10 larger sculptures have been created so far. The works are based on the compass flower ornament that is used to construct isosceles triangles. As a significant design element, this can be found in all Gothic buildings, on portals, reliefs, frescoes, and icons.
Körbs (1984) is a German graphic artist, painter and sculptor. In 2013 he graduated from the Braunschweig Art Academy. He was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation. In 2015 Körbs had a scholarship from the state of Lower Saxony.
Sebastian Körbs was involved in various exhibitions such as the Biennale Sinopale 2017, Turkey, or SÜS at the Kulturforum Berlin.
