For HOT MESS, Douglas Auersperg presents the series “Eine folgerichtige Vermessung kleinerer Umstände“ constructs visual worlds consisting of images taken from fashion magazines. Each work consists of images from the most sold fashion magazine in a particular week.
On the basis of a metrical calculation the three most popular images off each magazine are generated and further merged by using the method of the decollage into one. The process simulates the image collection within each individual, a netting of different elements, constituting the visual experience and digestion of visual elements.
