For HOT MESS, Carla Chang will be presenting “Clouded White – pink blue”, a work in a series of prints. The works in the series “Clouded White” are comprised of glue screen-printed on paper, which has then been partially covered with carbon powder. This process reveals the glue-images whilst simultaneously capturing the motion of the powder across the paper, freezing a moment in time.
Chan’s recent works focus on the digital representation of the natural world. Fusing the poetics of both nature and digital technologies, her installations create virtual spaces of contemplation. Minimal in style, Chan’s works blend physical and digital elements bridging a hybrid form of materiality which blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion, figure and abstraction.
