For HOT MESS, Allistair Walter will be exhibiting three paintings and one sculpture that enhance the tension between intimacy and isolation.
‚Drifting Away’ is, as most of Allistair’s work, dealing with topics of intimacy and dissociation. The two faced figure casted in brass with a fragmented, morphing body represents the traces of lost lovers in the memory of the artist. The impression of a person that was once close to you, you try to remember but you are not able to access a clear image in your memory anymore.
Allistair Walter (b.1994) is a Visual artist with his main focus on painting. Walter studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB) for four years and is currently finishing his studies at Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee. He is a member of the 2020 founded artist collective “<3” with whom he will be exhibiting alongside in the HOTMESS exhibition.
