For HOT MESS, Ahu Dural will present her large-scale metal sculpture Coupole, which will be paired with a second large-scale work, a paper collage from her Mashup series. The two works combine two and three dimensional features of architecture (domes, facade ornaments, interiors, fabric, constructions, structures, layers, decor, body reference.) Observation, perspective, graphical aspects, and aspects of enveloping and spatial surfaces are thus combined.
Another small-scale collage series titled Vage Räume will be shown in the expansive exhibition halls as eye-catching and colorful references.
“When I work with a room, I consider the room as a drawing.”
